PX index loses 0.14 pct in week 6

Prague, Feb 6 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange's (BCPP) headline PX index lost 0.14 percent to 2,759.4 points over the past week despite reaching a record high on Wednesday, with energy group CEZ rising the most while engineering firm Doosan Skoda Power was the worst performer, according to the bourse's website.

In the previous week, the PX index added 1.63 percent.

"The bourse entered the new week on a positive note. It appreciated over the first three sessions to a new high of 2,804.83 points, which it reached on Wednesday. However, it subsequently underwent a rather significant correction on Thursday, while on Friday it deepened its losses," said Wood & Company broker Barbora Zelena.

CEZ shares were the best performing title of the week, up 3.3 percent to CZK1,220. Moneta Money Bank followed, extending its growth streak to nine weeks in a row when it added 0.97 percent week-on-week to CZK208. The bank released last year's financial results on Tuesday. Beverage maker Kofola also fared well, adding 0.42 percent to CZK480.

On the other hand, Doosan Skoda Power depreciated by 3.74 percent to CZK412. Solar power plant maker Photo Energy posted a loss of 3.56 percent to CZK10.30, while Erste Group Bank wrote off 2.61 percent to CZK2,608, ending the previous ten-week continuous rise.

Arms maker Colt weakened by 2.4 percent to CZK813, metallurgical company Gevorkyan by 1.68 percent to CZK234, drone maker Primoco by 0.92 percent to CZK1,080 and insurer VIG by 0.87 percent to CZK1,598. Tobacco company Philip Morris was also among the week's losers, down 0.74 percent to CZK20,000.

Komercni banka shares were flat on the week at CZK1,245. The bank published its financial results for last year today.
