Prague bourse keeps firming, driven by Erste

Prague, Oct 11 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) kept firming today, its headline PX index adding 0.39 percent to 1,349.51 points at the close of trading, according to data from the bourse's website.

The index was driven mainly by Erste Bank, which gained 1.46 percent to Kc813.70.

Among other blue chips, Komercni banka and the insurance company VIG also did well, while Moneta Money Bank lost slightly and power utility CEZ shares stagnated.

VIG rose by 0.8 percent to Kc632.

Komercni banka grew by 0.52 percent to Kc672.

In contrast, Moneta Money Bank fell by 0.36 percent to Kc83.50.

CEZ closed at Kc982.50.

Among minor titles, drinks maker Kofola rose by 0.38 percent to Kc265, pharmacy chain Pilulka Lekarny wrote off over 2 percent to Kc371, and solar power plant builder Photon Enery slid by almost 1 percent to Kc51.80.

Tobacco company Philip Morris erased almost 1 percent to Kc16,640.

Arms maker Colt CZ stagnated at Kc555.
