Wiener Börse AG strengthens transparency beyond market data with acquisition of North Data GmbH

Wiener Börse AG has acquired an 80% majority stake in North Data GmbH, expanding its data and information business beyond the exchange. The Hamburg-based company has established itself as a leading search engine for European company data, aggregating and consolidating information on 100 million private companies in 26 European countries from more than 160 public sources, including registers and EU databases. “Functioning markets need transparent and reliable information. Together with North Data, we are extending this principle beyond the market data and strengthening access to company data across Europe. With this investment, Wiener Börse is broadening its strategic positioning and diversifying its revenue streams along its core business areas,” says Christoph Boschan, CEO of Wiener Börse AG.
