Trading volumes on the Prague Stock Exchange rose significantly in January

Trading on the Prague Stock Exchange recorded exceptionally strong growth in the first month of 2026. The volume of stock trades in January increased by 128% year-on-year, reaching CZK 19.4 billion, compared to CZK 8.5 billion in January 2025.

The total volume of trades in all instruments also increased significantly, rising by 79% year-on-year to CZK 21.3 billion. In the same period last year, the trading volume reached CZK 11.9 billion.

Among other things, the high trading activity was also driven by a new issue by CSG, which began trading on the Prague Stock Exchange on January 23, 2026. Within just a few trading days, the trading volume of this issue reached CZK 1.8 billion, placing CSG in fifth place among the most traded stocks on the market.
