The record values of Indices PX 50 and PX-D

Both Indices PX 50 and PX-D of Prague Stock Exchange reached their historical maximum today. The index PX 50 has been calculated since 1994 and this is his record value of 1,562.0, which means an increase by 6.04% from the beginning of 2006.
The Blue-chip index PX-D broke the high of 4, 000 points and closed on 4,009,1. Its value has increased by 7.44% during 2006.
Starting from 20 March, 2006 the new index PX will be calculated as an equivalent successor to both current indices. PX index will take over the PX 50 index history and continue in its development. After 20 March, 2006, it will be possible to calculate value of PX-D index using the so called PX-D coefficient multiplied by the PX index value. Coefficient for this operation will be based on fraction of the PX-D and PX 50 final values on 17 March, 2006 and its value will be published by the Stock Exchange on the same day at 4:30 p.m.
