Termination of calculation of PX 50 and PX-D indices

As it was announced, Prague Stock Exchange will terminate calculation of PX 50 and PX-D indices. The last day of calculation of those indices will be 17 March, 2006. Starting from 20 March, 2006 the new main index of Prague Stock Exchange, named PX, will take over them.

The new index will be an equivalent successor to both current indices, merging together their advantages. PX index will take over the PX 50 history and continue in its development.

Although the calculation of PX-D index will stop on 17 March, it will be possible to calculate its value using the so-called PX-D coefficient multiplied by the PX index value. Coefficient for this operation will be based on fraction of the PX-D and PX 50 final values on 17 March, 2006, and its value will be published on the web page of the Stock Exchange on the same day at 4:30 p.m.

Detailed description of the new main index PX is here.
