Suspension and termination of trading in AVAST

On 2 September 2022, the UK Competition and Markets Authority published the final report of its review of the merger of issuer Avast PLC with NortonLifeLock, which concluded that the transaction will have no impact on competition in the regulated market and can therefore be completed. Following this conclusion and in accordance with the timetable published by the issuer, it is expected that a court decision in relation to the transaction will be issued on 9 September 2022 and that the transaction will be completed with effect from 12 September 2022.
In view of the above, the Exchange will suspend trading in the issue of AVAST, ISIN GB00BDD85M81 on the Free Market with effect from 8 September 2022. The issue will be excluded from trading on the Free Market with effect from 12 September 2022. Upon completion of the merger process, the issue of NortonLifeLock shares, ISIN US6687711084, which are being distributed to investors as part of the consideration for the AVAST shares, will be admitted to the Free Market.
