Pavel to visit Plzen Region, meet politicians, hospital directors

Prague, March 17 (CTK) - President Petr Pavel will visit the Plzen Region next week to hold talks with its Governor Kamal Farhan, Plzen Mayor Roman Zarzycki (both ANO), Klatovy Mayor Rudolf Salveter (Civic Democrats, ODS), hospital directors and citizens, the Presidential Office announced today.

On Tuesday, March 25, Pavel will visit the Bioptics Laboratory in the regional centre Plzen, hold talks with the regional and municipal leaders, and visit the Skoda JS and Doosan Skoda Power companies. He will also meet locals at the Tynec Castle near Klatovy. Afterwards he will hold talks with the Klatovy mayor and then attend a discussion meeting with citizens.

On Wednesday, Pavel will have a debate with students of the secondary and primary school in Oselce, then visit a social services centre in Mirosov, have lunch with the directors of the hospitals of the Plzen Region and visit a general practitioner's office in Rokycany. His two-day trip will end with a walk in Rabstejn nad Strelou.

President Pavel and his wife Eva visited the Plzen Region last January already. Pavel then met the leadership of the region and of the Sumava National Park, visited the Plzensky Prazdroj brewery, the army Air Rescue and Emergency Medicine base at the Line Airport near Plzen and the mining museum in Stribro.
