Avast, set up by Czech engineers Eduard Kucera and Pavel Baudis in 1988, is a trailblazer in cybersecurity. In 2016, it bough rival Czech antivirus company AVG. In terms of sales, Avast is the second largest cybersecurity company in the world after Symantec.
