Prague bourse falls slightly after two days of gains
Prague, Sept 12 (CTK) - The Prague Stock Exchange (BCPP) fell slightly after two previous gains today, its headline PX index falling by 0.04 percent to 2,292.82 points, according to data from the bourse's website.
The majority of stocks ended today in positive territory, but the PX index still wrote off 0.04 percent, Martin Singer of Fio banka noted.
"The Prague Stock Exchange's PX index has weakened slightly this week only on Tuesday and Friday. It gained 0.36 percent for the whole week," said Komercni banka analyst Bohumil Trampota.
Among the main shares, Erste Bank fell by 1.18 percent to Kc2,003, and drone maker Primoco UAVs wrote off 0.60 percent to Kc830. Engineering company Doosan Skoda Power, which had risen strongly in the previous two days following the announcement that it had won a tender to supply new generators for the Temelin nuclear power plant, erased some of the gains today by falling 3.06 percent to Kc412 per share.
Energy group CEZ shares stagnated. "With a daily volume of Kc336m, CEZ shares closed unchanged at Kc1,290," Singer said.
A bigger stock market decline was prevented by the shares of Moneta Money Bank, Komercni banka and arms manufacturer Colt, Wood & Company broker Tomas Hazucha noted. Moneta rose by 0.64 percent to Kc158, Komercni banka added 0.10 percent to Kc1,042, and Colt CZ gained 1.70 perent to Kc776.
