Air Bank, UniCredit Bank to join KB's, Moneta's shared ATM network
Prague, Dec 19 (CTK) - Air Bank and UniCredit Bank will join Komercni banka (KB) and Moneta Money Bank's shared ATM network from February 2023, KB told CTK today.
Following KB and Moneta's scheme started in June, the four banks' clients will be able to withdraw cash within the shared ATM networks under the same conditions as those of their own bank.
"The shared banking infrastructure will have a very positive influence on client experience and decrease energy consumption and other costs necessary for operating separate banking networks," KB said.
In the next stage, clients will hopefully also be able to make deposits in the shared ATM network, Moneta's CEO Tomas Spurny said.
ATM deposits are mainly used by sole traders and small businesses, KB and Moneta said earlier.
The number of ATMs will be cut in locations where there are many of them, and ATMs will be set up in places where there were not enough of them and where they did not make sense economically so far, UniCredit Bank's CEO Jakub Dusilek said in a press release.
Air Bank's clients will be able to make free cash withdrawals at five times the present number of ATMs and the scheme will also increase the number of ATMs regionally, Air Bank's CEO Michal Strcula said.
