Avast share trading on BCPP to end on Sept 9-preliminary plan
Prague, Aug 3 (CTK) - The last day of dealings in Czech cybersecurity company Avast shares on the Prague bourse (BCPP) will be September 9, according to a preliminary merger timetable with US software company NortonLifeLock, and the firms want to act in line with it, Avast spokeswoman Dominika Kalasova told CTK today.
The stock will be delisted from BCPP and the US company will issue new shares, said a report of the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). The British regulator is currently dealing with the merger.
CMA is the last authority that has not yet fully approved the deal but it has given its preliminary approval today.
CMA is expected to issue a final report on the merger by September 8. The next day should see the end of trading in Avast shares and the stock will be delisted from the Prague bourse on September 12.
According to the preliminary plan, NortonLifeLock will then issue new shares and the deal will be subsequently settled.
